YaShashondalyn “Shanay” Samuels is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Trauma Specialist at Eagles Landing Christian Counseling Center who is passionate about helping individuals experience emotional healing, personal transformation, and spiritual restoration. Through faith-centered, evidence-based counseling, she supports individuals who are navigating trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, grief, anger, and major life transitions.
With more than 20 years of experience in school counseling, mental health, trauma recovery, and family systems work, Shanay brings both professional expertise and compassionate understanding to the counseling process. She also provides ADHD and Autism assessments, helping individuals and families gain clarity about neurodevelopmental needs while identifying strengths, supportive strategies, and helpful resources.
Shanay has a special interest in supporting women through significant life transitions, including the emotional and mental impact of menopause, burnout, and identity shifts. She integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches with biblically grounded principles to support healing of the mind, body, and spirit.
She is currently completing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Mercer University and serves as an Adjunct Professor in the counseling program. A National Certified Counselor, Shanay has advanced training in clinical hypnotherapy, neurolinguistic programming (NLP), grief counseling, anger management, and emotional regulation strategies.
Known for her warm and relational approach, Shanay creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can process difficult experiences, strengthen resilience, and grow in their identity and faith.
